Candy For The Soul

Stratton hasn't been feeling well latley for 4 days straight he was running a fever. Poor guy this is the first time that he has ever been sick and being new parents David and I didn't know what to do. I held out from taking him to the dr. for 3 days but I finnally gave in when his fever was still 103.2 on the third night and I took him to urgent care. Well his fever finnally broke the fourth day and now he has a rash all over his back , neck and chest. Apparently he had roseola a virus that most young childeren get and it starts with a few days of a high fever and then breaks out in a rash. Roseola is a common viral infection of early childhood, mostly infecting children between the ages of 6 and 24 months.

Symptoms

Children with roseola usually just have a high fever. About three to seven days later, once the fever breaks, kids with roseola get a red or pink raised rash all over their body. This rash usually lasts a few hours to a few days, begins on the trunk and then can spread to the child's arms, legs and face. Unlike many other rashes that kids get, the rash of roseola is not itchy.

Well now that he is better today we celebrated and he had his first sucker . Stratton went crazy and just loved it. He couldn't decide if he wanted mine or his so he ended up just holding both of them and switching off. It was really cute .
