I am sure everyone is very tired of hearing about my projects that involve blocks of wood but here is yet another one. David recently got me a Dremel that I absolutely LOVE so I am going a little overboard with wood projects.
Call me crazy for even thinking this project would be fun. I have to admit while I was staying up till three one night I myself thought that I am a little bit crazy to spend all this time and energy cutting , sanding , painting and more cutting and gluing. Honestly I could have just bought something that looked much better and less homemade.
Of course then I wouldn't have seen the huge smile on Stratton's face when he woke up and said , " You made blocks for me? Yeah , my nice blocks ! Thank you Mom, Thank you!"
I don't know why homemade things seem to mean so much more even if they do look a little less fancy. I suppose it is the love we put into it that matters.

Those are so cute...good job.
You're a sweet mom! I love refinishing things too, mostly furniture... Those blocks are totally cute!
What a fun way for Stratton to learn to recognize all his ABC's!
