Surprise
Last night with Audra's wonderful planning and organizing skills Barbara had a surprise party for her 70th birthday. It was a lot of fun and turned out really well. Approximately 50 people + showed up and the best part was Barbara had no idea what was going on. I am surprised no body slipped a clue even a little bit. It was a party filled with family, friends, food and best of all fun.

I made these shirts for the Stratton and Emerson to wear to the party. Stratton loved his new shirt and walked around saying over and over again, "I have HOT Grandma".
Too Funny!
I can't tell you how much I love Barbara, she is the best Mother In-law and a wonderful friend. I love her for her courage and always being exactly who she is . I love her honesty , though sometimes brutal . I love the way she has so kindly welcomed me into her family and treats me as her own child. I love our long and many nights playing canasta ( and winning 9/10ths of the games). She is one of the most generous women I know and I have never met anyone who is a better missionary or a better example of missionary work. Barbara will strike up a conversation about religion wherever she goes. I have a lot to learn about missionary work , she gave me advice one time regarding missionary work and it will always stick with me. She said, " you do not have to be a scriptorian to be a missionary , all you have to do is bear your testimony from your heart and who can possibly argue with that". She is fearless , prepared and determined and best of all I thank her for raising such a wonderful son , David.

How fun! Who's house did you do it at?! I can' tell by the pics. I love the pic of Emerson and Stratton. They will be best buds!

The party was at the Goodman's . It was a lot of fun we wish you guys were there too.
