You can do it we know you can!

We have been so busy lately and so I haven't had much of a chance to sit down and blog. I have so much to tell you and I am going to try to get it all in while baby Stratton takes his afternoon nap. David and I finally made the move from our apartment. This was so much work and I had no idea that two adults and one little baby could accumulate so much stuff. David and I decided to rent a storage unit just a small size 5 ft. by 5 ft. and if I would have known better I would have gotten something a tad bit bigger. I worked hard to separate, organize and de-junk everything before the move. I am not sure this organizing paid off because we still seemed to have 3 truck loads and 2 trailer loads full of what seems to be our life. A few all nighters while Stratton slept and several hours each day allowed us to be completely moved in.

This is what David and I looked like after we were all packed only picture this three times with a flat bed trailer attached to it twice.

A few weekends ago, our little family enjoyed a weekend in flagstaff and I was so excited that we got to stay in a hotel. There is just something about hotels that I think is so much fun. After researching online I finally found the perfect hotel for us and I went ahead and booked one night. It is kind of funny because I had in mind this beautiful nice hotel and I had booked what they called the “Presidential Suite” . When we arrived and unloaded our luggage we both had to giggle at our experience and the room we just paid $100.00 for. The walls were cracking, dressers were chipped and carpet was completely stained. It was a great laugh for the two of us and even though the room was quite a disappointment we enjoyed each other’s company.

I Love These Pictures (they both have the same look of excitment on their faces)

Stratton, Mom and Dad are so proud of you and your courage. Stratton took his first steps on Sunday March 22, 2009. David and I were sitting in sacrament meeting with the Ellsworth’s and Stratton had so much energy that we finally had to take him into the hall. It was quite funny because all we had to say was, “I am going to get you.” At that very moment Stratton lost all fear and just let go of the wall and took his first steps. A day filled with crashes and falls sure didn’t stop Stratton. It was so impressive to watch him because he simply had no fear and exhibited unbelievable determination. Stratton would pick himself up time after time and try again. When I observed and praised his determination I thought to myself, what a great lesson for me to learn. When it seems you can’t muster up any courage and determination, this is the time that it counts the most. Well it has been three weeks and Stratton is practically running , still with a few falls here and there but we think he is doing just GREAT!

Here is a cute video of Stratton just 3

days after he took his first steps
