Ride of a Lifetime

A few weeks ago it was the opening day at the Maricopa county fair and we decided to take advantage of the special deals. Besides all seniors getting in free which was perfect for Uncle JP and Barbara they also had a can food drive . If you brought in three cans each then you had to only pay half of the usual cost. As always it was a great time with the Ellsworth's at the fair.

We thought this year Stratton would be just tall enough for many of the rides. Well as of now he is still a little guy 1 1/2 inches too short . It was pitiful ! I guess I should have just spiked his hair :)

This is my all time favorite Picture and I can't look at it without giggling . I though I would share it and hopefully it will put a smile on your face too. We were absolutely sure Barbara was crazy when she informed us that she was taking JP ( her 87 year old brother) on a roller coaster. I can vouch that this roller coaster was very scary because guess who went on it with him .....ME! Put it this way I was the only one screaming ! Throughout the ride I continuously asked JP if he was OK and he would say yes. David and I thought that this wasn't such a good idea and could quite possibly end badly. The lesson learned here is despite his facial expression in the picture he had a great time and remember to always live every day like it is your last.

Oh goodness, that is GREAT! I laugh SOOO hard looking at that picture of him... he didn't know what was coming, did he?!
Stratton is a cutie! I'll bet he had a great time and loved being with mom and dad.

That's hilarious, but given the experience the last time you were at the fair I'm not surprised that she put him on there.
