Isn't it Fun

Isn't it fun to get letters addressed to you in the mail? I love it and I have always loved it . I remember even as a little girl I would ride my bike to the mail box a half a mile away just to see if there was a letter for me . Come to find out everybody loves getting mail and I am not talking about bills and adds but a hand written note just for you.
Stratton has been invited to two birthday parties within the last several months and he couldn't be more thrilled . He opened the invitation and I read it to him and then he paraded around the house for a full week showing everybody and anybody his invite. He would say in a loud and proud voice , " I have friends , I really do!" . It was if his little ego was given a big boost because someone wanted him at their party.
Our first party was a nursery friend from church named Wyatt . He had his party at Chucky Cheese which was also a first for us. I can't believe that I have never been to Chucky Cheese . Anyways It was a fun party and Stratton loved the entire party except for the guy that dresses up like Chucky Cheese. He was afraid of the costume and had no interest in going to the front and dancing with Chucky and honestly I don't blame him.The next party we went to was Tim and Mallory's little girl Alex. Alex turned one on Febuary 15 and they had her party the Saturday before at Desert Breeze park. The party of course was adorable and Mallory did a great job putting the whole thing together.
I think it is kind of hard at Stratton's age to watch other kids have a birthday party and open so many fun toys. The concept of so many gifts for one day out of the year isn't quite fully understood at this point. Stratton stood right next to Alex as she opened all of her gifts.

Alex at her Birthday Party one week later . She was so excited about her cake. Most one year old's are a little cautious but she couldn't have loved it more.

I love the pictures you took, Marisa! She is just a doll and you captured some very beautiful moments. What a fun looking party. How did you get her to laugh like that? I always wonder what photographers do or say to get those cute smiles.
Ultimately, my favorite is the picture of the double doors behind her where she's crawling toward the camera (it's not up on this post though). My second fav is the last pic at her birthday where the balloons are in the background.
