A Week Without the zoo?

What would a week be like without a trip to the zoo ?

This year we have frequented the zoo so often because of the great gift Barbara and Dean gave us for Christmas. They kindly gave us a year membership to the Phoenix zoo and we really have gotten a lot of use out of it.

Today was another trip to the Phoenix zoo...

This very large tree stump was a fun stop to climb and jump .
Stratton was trying so hard to exercise his independence and climb to the top all by himself ...

and when he finally made it he was so very proud he could hardly stand it


We of course stopped for a lot of water breaks and in combination with water breaks came even more potty breaks.

The tractors are always a must do ...

Now that Emerson is walking he enjoyed the playground

Emerson didn't want to take his eye off of me . Whether a window or gate he was peeking through to make sure I wasn't going anywhere.

Stratton cracks me up ! When we left this morning he discovered that he had a pocket in his shirt. He loves pockets , I mean really really loves pockets. On the way to the zoo he says , " cuse me mom? cuse me mom? I have a pocket on my sweater!".
Later ,Stratton wanted me to take his picture in front of the monkeys that were being quite obnoxious. I agreed and asked him to put his hands in his pockets .
The only pocket he had in mind was his " pocket on his sweater".
Too funny!
