Fishing

In September David and I took the boys out to visit my parents. Stratton especially loves going out to Grandma and Grandpa's house . They both love the big dogs or what look like horses I am sure when you are that little. My Mom has two English Mastiffs and they are gigantic and great with the kids. When we go out to my parents it is the perfect time to take go for walks and pack the few fishing supplies we have and take the kids down to the pond. We stopped by Wal-Mart on our way and picked up worms which are much easier bate to hook then grasshoppers. I used to catch the grasshoppers by the pond then bate them and the fish would bite almost immediately . We took a short hike down to the pond and while we were only there for maybe 45 minutes we must have caught 6 fish and few crawdads . It was a lot of fun and I think the boys really appreciated not having to wait more then a few minutes to catch a fish .
