Ready for a Cold Weekend

Ask me why I am still up at 3:40 am ? Well David wants to leave to Show Low at 4:30 .... the kids will sleep in the car and due to recent lasik surgery his eyes are very sensitive to the light. So due to those two reasons which I agree are great reasons we are leaving at 4:30 am.
It is going to be a very cold weekend at the cabin , but we are ready and Stratton and I are both excited .

So this is what I have been working on for the cold weather ....

While walking through Target last week I found these plain beanies for 99 cents and I thought they would be great this winter for the boys . I brought them home and kept thinking what can I possibly do to make these two hats more appealing . It really isn't fair that girls get such cute accessories and boys seem to be forgotton. I see headbands , knitted hats, flowers, and bows to doll your little girls up and nothing for boys . Anyways i guess it is kind of a sore subject but here I am with two plain boys beanies.
I had some left over felt in Stratton's craft box and all of the sudden it came to me . I would make animals out of felt and then sew them onto the beanies .

I also finished my wall of frames ...
