Last weekend I woke up and decided to attempt to build a tire swing for
the kids. I say build because what I had in mind wasn't just a tire
swing like I used to have . This wasn't going to be a rope tied through a tire and then onto a tree
branch . I wanted something a little nicer and something that would
last. I researched some different ideas and made my way to Lowes .
Stratton , Emerson and I must have gone to Lowes three times throughout
the day to pick something else up for the new swing. I found that I needed to make a couple
of revisions and different parts once I got started. It
really was a fun project to do together and the boys think it is
wonderful .
David came up with a great way to hang the chain . It was hard to find the perfect branch far enough away from the tree so instead David and Stratton cut a board and reinforced it with two other boards. It works perfect and not only can the boys swing but so can we :)
Everybody loves a tire swing !
I love in theses pictures Stratton has his pants on backwards . This is what happens when you have a 3 1/2 year old who is sure he can and will do everything by himself. Stratton is so independent and he has been that way from the very start :)
